Sermon Tuesday with Lewis Sperry Chafer Mar. 3, 2015

Tuesdays are a weekly presentation of a select sermon from the vast Christian history that we enjoy.  This week, I present Lewis Sperry Chafer, one of the richest blessings God has given His church here in America.  The founder of Dallas Theological Seminary, prolific author (see a collection of his works now in the public domain at, and Christian gentleman, Lewis Sperry Chafer’s legacy of Biblical exegesis and impact on the theological disciplines are unmatched in the modern age.

Here, Lewis Sperry Chafer examines the Sermon on the Mount, and interprets the passage according to sound hermeneutics.  Note his consistent reference to understanding the passage by its context and his application of Biblical prophecy to the contemporary dilemma of the creation of the state of Israel.  Specifically, note that he differentiates between the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Gospel of Grace as separate and distinct concepts and messages.  Very inspiring and enlightening!  Please enjoy!
